Nintendo of America has announced that Reggie Fils-Aime will leave the company after more than 15 years in the service of Nintendo and almost 13 in the current position.
According to the company, Doug Bowser will be the new president – he will take office on April 15.
Shuntaro Furukawa, president of Nintendo, thanked all Reggie for Nintendo, inside and outside the company, recognizing him as an “exceptional leader.”
Furukawa appreciates Reggie’s commitment and says that his colleagues will miss him, but they are also happy to know that his successor is highly capable of meeting the demands.
“Doug Bowser and the rest of the team will ensure a smooth transition and continued impetus for Nintendo.”
Reggie says that Nintendo will remain in your heart forever and says you are “full of gratitude for the incredibly talented people you worked with, for the opportunity to represent such an amazing brand and above all for feeling like a member of the community long and positive video game. “
Reggie Fils-Aime has become one of Nintendo’s biggest and most acclaimed figures and it will surely be hard to fill your spot.
