Pokémon Go Launches Pokémon Day Event With These Shinys

Pokemon GO

In Pokémon GO there is a new event! Players can look forward to Shiny Taubsi and Rattfratz. There are also very special Pikachu and Evoli to catch.

That brings the new event: already tonight, on 26.02, starts a new event in Pokémon GO. In celebration of the Pokémon Day, Niantic is holding a small celebration. Fittingly, there are many Pokémon from the Kanto region to catch.

We’ll tell you all the bonuses of the event and show you pictures of the new Shiny’s that are starting this evening.

This is how Pokémon Day is celebrated

How long will the event go? From tonight, 26.02, at 22 o’clock the event takes place. But then it is only two days until February 28th. There, the festivities then end at 22 clocks.

Which bonuses are there? Any resource in the game does not duplicate. But you get:

  • Increases the chance of Pokémon in the Kanto region in the wild
  • increases the chance of Pokémon of the Kanto region in Raids
  • the chance of Pikachu and Evoli with flower wreath on his head
  • the chance of dazzling Taubsi and Rattfratz

We know this about the Shinys: With Taubsi and Rattfratz the coaches now get the chance to have two Shinys, which are likely to be quite common. These two Pokémon were most likely to be found in the 1st generation.

It remains to be seen if the Alola form of Rattfratz will also appear as Shiny. We’ll show you his shiny shape anyway.

This is how the Evoli and Pikachu look like: Already weeks ago, the versions of Pikachu and Evoli with the flowers on their heads were found in the code of the game. Now they are finally released.

Whether or not there will be a Shiny from these versions remains to be seen. But one can assume that Shiny Pikachu was already catching special hats.

That’s why they celebrate: The Pokémon Day is celebrated annually on February 27th. In 1996, the first Pokémon console game was released that day. That’s why this day is also celebrated at Pokémon GO.
