Overkill’s The Walking Dead No Longer Appears On The Consoles – Work On The Title Is Completely Discontinued

Console players must be strong now: Skybound has ended the collaboration and continued development of Overkill’s The Walking Dead.

As Eurogamer reports, Skybound is overkilling Overkill’s The Walking Dead for lack of quality. The contracts with developer Studio Starbreeze Studios were terminated and the work on the game set.

Actually, it was planned as a kind of episodic game that evolves over time and adds new content. When Overkill’s The Walking Dead appeared on the PC last year, it did not get very positive reviews. Due to the low sales figures, you had to save costs in the company. With 34 million dollars in the lousy, a release for the consoles was initially postponed.

Last week, Sony started giving players the money to pre-order their players. As justification, Sony stated that the publisher of the console version, 505 Games, will not launch it. Just a few hours ago, Skybound had its say, announcing that it would no longer be working on the title and releasing the console dumps for Overkill’s The Walking Dead.

“Overkills The Walking Dead did not meet our standards or the quality we promised.”

At the moment it is unclear what that means for the PC version of the game. Some buyers have paid for the Deluxe Edition, which should include many extras and enhancements for the future.
