Gamescom 2019 – Top Result In The Early Bird Phase: First Exhibitors Announced!

At the Gamescom 2019, all sorts of things will be on offer again and there is a lot to discover, to test and to admire. Already in February, the first exhibitors secured their place in the halls, this year even ten percent more than last year. Now a list of the first stalls has been published.

There are still a few months before the exhibition halls in Cologne will open their doors and gates, but in August, the wait is over. Exhibitors were able to secure a stand-in February at reduced rates. Anyone who already struck during the early bird phase and will be represented at Gamescom 2019 reveals a published list.

Large publishers represented, but some missing?

As usual, numerous industry players from the gaming and hardware sector are represented, but so far no trace of Activision Blizzard, Epic Games or Sony Interactive Entertainment. After it became known that Sony is not represented at the E3 2019, the question remains whether Sony will be in Cologne on site. However, the “absence” is nothing unusual at this time. Often, the scope and type of Gamescom participation will be announced at short notice.

Innovations, e-sports, and pavilions

This year you can look forward to a newly designed indie range at Gamescom. “Look & Feel” is the theme whereby the area should stand out from the rest of the entertainment sector. There, even smaller developers have the opportunity to present their projects. Turtle Entertainment will also delight esports fans.

Another highlight is the country pavilions. So far twelve pieces are firmly planned. Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Great Britain, Korea, Malta, Poland, Sweden, Singapore, Spain, and the USA are represented.

The games fair will take place from the 20th to the 24th of August in Cologne. Have you already secured tickets? What are you most looking forward to? Write to us below in the comments.
