Half-Life 3 – Mysterious E-Mail Turns Out To Be A Fake

Gabe Newell made his first statement on the next “Half-Life” after a while, saying Valve’s boss said it should be ready in the coming years, so the release is not that far off lie away.

Meanwhile, the e-mail has turned out to be a fake. Valve has confirmed that the e-mail is not from them.

Original message from March 19, 2019 – 00:38 o’clock

It’s going to be a mystery forever, what exactly became of the third episode of Half-Life 2 and why we never saw a Half-Life 3. Nevertheless, a new project seems to be in the works.

As Valve boss Gabe Newell told a fan within an email, fans would not have to wait that long for a new “half-life.” Newell currently expects to wait around five years:

Fan: “I wonder, will I play a new half-life chapter before my life comes to an end? I am currently 32. ”

Gabe Newell: “Just do not die in the next five years or so;)”

Nobody denies that the email is real. Newell is known for responding to multiple communications daily. According to his own information, he receives up to 1,000 a day and reads every single one.

Are 5 years really that long?

Five years may sound long, but as it turned out, Newell sent the email back in November of last year. Realistically, we could expect the announcement of a new title before 2023.

That Valve never stopped working on new games is well known – but almost no one was done. It was Gabe Newell himself who declared in 2017 that they would be working on a total of three VR games, none of which has yet been announced. Artifact, a card game in the “Dota” universe and released late last year, is considered a massive flop.

Either way, the release of “Half-Life 2: Episode 2” is almost twelve years back, so you can handle five more years well.
