Did Brazil Release The Release Of Final Fantasy XIV On Xbox One?

Did Brazil release the release of Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox One? The official Brazilian Classification Board has published a rating for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. In the possible platforms also the Xbox One is listed.

What does the leak mean?

The colleagues from the News page Generation Xbox have made an interesting find. The Brazilian rating agency for video games has missed the upcoming addon FFXIV: Shadowbringers a rating.

Among the platforms listed for the game also appeared the Xbox One. That would mean that the MMORPG will also be available on the Microsoft console from the summer of 2019.

What are the pros?

Since this is not an official announcement from Square Enix, there is a possibility that it is simply a mistake on the part of the Brazilian rating board. One should enjoy the news with caution.

However, there are several reasons that speak for the correctness of the leaks. The ratings of the Classification Boards have already released several new releases in the past:

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection, for example,

Was leaked by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) website prior to the official announcement.

  • Players also learned about the PS4 version of Path of Exile through a Taiwanese rating board.
Another reason is the current allocation of European and American servers to new data centers.
  • The launch of FFXIV on a new platform would mean a huge influx of new players for the MMORPG.
  • The server split would make room for these new players.

Director Yoshida himself has emphasized several times over the past few years that he wants to publish FFXIV on as many platforms as possible. The discussions with the representatives of Microsoft and Nintendo would, therefore, progress steadily.
