Next patch Of The Division 2 Brings Weapon Mods Without Disadvantages

Next patch Of The Division 2 Brings Weapon Mods Without Disadvantages. With the upcoming update, The Division 2 will make some changes to the weapon and skill mods. That’s how they are turned upside down.

What changes the patch? In addition to the new content such as the 5th world ranking and gear sets are mainly changes to the weapon and skill mods made.

Especially weapon mods are properly revised. The update will now be mods without negative effect. But also skill mods should be improved and be easier to use.

Weapon mods without negative effect

This changes to the weapon mods: The biggest change in the weapon mods is that the negative effects disappear on some modifications.

In return, however, the positive effect is reduced. However, you can now specifically increase certain values of your weapons without having to take a negative effect on another value.

Are there no negative effects anymore? Not quite. There will still be weapon mods with negative effects. In these, however, the positive effects are much higher.

In the State of the Game from 3.4. the developers gave an example:

  • So there can now be two types of extended magazines.
  • One with no negative effect, which brings the magazine but few extra balls
  •   ” with a negative effect, which spends all the more extra shots.

Each weapon slot of a weapon now has at least one mod with no negative effect. This is how the options for the players should be increased.

Why is this changed? There were mixed feedback from the community on the weapon mods. Many players liked the mods, where you have to pay close attention to how you combine them, thanks to the two opposing effects.

Others felt limited in their options and felt that many of the negative effects made no sense. Some even completely renounced weapon mods.

What effect this whole thing will have on your current weapon mods is not clear. So it is also open, whether this hidden top mod after the update is still as strong as at the moment. Skill mods should be easier to use

The changes to the Skill Mods: First and foremost, the prerequisite skills thickness of skill mods adjusted. So it should much easier to equip your skills with modifications.

These minimum values are now much lower. Even for builds with a not very high skill power value, it should now be possible to benefit from the skill mods.

In addition, the amount of mod bonuses now also equals the minimum skill requirement.

The more skill power you need, the stronger the effect on the skill mod. Previously, these values seemed to rather random.

So it should be worthwhile to invest much in skill strength and to build skill-heavy builds.

Why is this changed? Skill mods were one of the fans’ biggest criticisms since the release of The Division 2.

The requirements of many mods sometimes just too high, skill-based builds hardly worth it.

When will the update come? On Friday, 5.4. starts at 9:30 a server maintenance about three hours. In this time should also come the update.
