The Division 2: Published Exotics

The Division 2: All Information About The 8 Previously Published Exotics. In The Division 2, there are now 8 different exotics, nor are they exclusively weapons. Here you will find an overview with all information.

What are exotics? Exotics are unique pieces of equipment in The Division 2. Each Exotic has its own name, background story, and individual characteristics.

How many are there so far? Currently (9.4.2019) there are 8 Exotics, which are exclusively weapons:

  • Submachine guns: The Gadwall
  • LMGs: pestilence
  • Pistols: freedom
  • Shotguns: sweet dreams / lullaby
  • Rifles: Merciless / Ruthless
  • Sniper rifles: Nemesis

We show you in this guide all exotics that are in the game so far. We also link the guides to how you get these weapons.

pestilence

These are the stats of the LMG:

  • Optimum range (meters): 40
  • Long-range range (meters): 80
  • Minimum crit distance (meters): 10
  • Maximum crit distance (meters): 50
  • SPM (shot per minute): 550
  • Magazine size: 100
  • Reload speed (seconds): 5.5
  • Possible damage (GS 500): 3515-4296

These are the talents:

  • The epidemic of the outcasts: After having hit the same opponent 20 times, it will be infested with epidemic outcasts. If a contaminated enemy is killed, it will leave a poison cloud for 10 seconds, inflicting 200% weapon damage and “pestilence” every second.
  • Pestilence:  This weakening reduces received healing by 50% for 10 seconds. If an opponent who has the pestilence weakening is incapacitated, he dies immediately. An opponent can remove pestilence by completely restoring his armor.
  • Outcast Resilience: As long as the weapon is in the holster, you gain 20% bonus armor for 5 seconds if you are blinded, on fire, or have a bleeding wound. This talent is handy in PvP and PvE.

How can you find the weapon? At the moment, pestilence is only available in the Dark Zone: This is how you get the pestilence LMG.

Kendra’s freedom

These are the stats of the gun:

  • Optimum range (meters): 16
  • Long-range range (meters): 50
  • Minimum crit distance (meters): 0
  • Maximum crit distance (meters): 30
  • SPM (shot per minute): 150
  • Magazine size: 8
  • Reload speed (seconds): 1.9
  • Possible damage (GS 500): 47808 – 58432

These are the talents:

  • Liberty: Double damage against enemy electronics (drones, guns, and other abilities)
  • Blind Justice:  After destroying a weak spot or enemy electronics, your next bullet inflicts 500% more damage. If the shot is deadly, your magazine will fill up immediately. Damage to the weapon is increased by 100% for this magazine.
  • Independence  : Destroying Weak Points fills the armor of your equipped weapon by 20%.

How can you find the weapon? Kendra’s freedom can be established. But for this you need a D50 high-end pistol first. That’s how you get Kendra’s freedom.

Sweet dreams and lullaby

These are the stats of the shotgun:

  • Optimum range (meters): 10
  • Long-range range (meters): 35
  • Minimum crit distance (meters): 0
  • Maximum crit distance (meters): 20
  • SPM (shot per minute): 70
  • Magazine size: 8
  • Reload speed (seconds): 5.2
  • Possible damage (GS 500): 121864 – 148944

These are the talents:

  • Sweet Dreams:  Switch to the weapon and land a melee hit on an enemy to gain 35% bonus armor and activate the Sandman debuff. Killing an enemy with the Sandman debuff applies the bonus armor again.
  • Sandman:  This debuff prevents enemies from using armor kits and healing from all possible sources
  • Evasive: This will cause a Dodge roll to charge 1% of the current Weapon Magazine if you’ve equipped the Sweet Dreams.

How can you find the weapon? So you come to sweet dreams.

Lullaby

The Lullaby Shotgun is largely identical to Sweet Dreams, but part of certain editions or pre-order packages to The Division 2.

While the stats are identical, they differ in appearance. In addition lullaby lacks the Sandman talent.

Nemesis

These are the stats of the sniper rifle:

  • Optimum range (meters): 60
  • Long-range range (meters): 80
  • Minimum crit distance (meters): 10
  • Maximum crit distance (meters): 70
  • SPM (shot per minute): 50
  • Magazine size: 5
  • Reload speed (seconds): 2,4
  • Possible damage (GS 500): 257789 – 315074

The stats are not current yet but refer to data discovered by a Dataminer. So far, the predictions were true. Nemesis is not yet available, so nothing is known about the talents.

How can you find the weapon? Currently you can only find two of the required parts. How this works, we have summarized for you .

The Gadwall

These are the stats of the submachine gun:

  • Optimum range (meters): 15
  • Long-range range (meters): 42
  • Minimum crit distance (meters): 0
  • Maximum crit distance (meters): 30
  • SPM (shot per minute): 700
  • Magazine size: 60
  • Reload speed (seconds): 2.5
  • Possible damage (GS 500): 9609 – 11744

These are the talents:

  • Swelling Chatter: Each shot that hits an enemy grants + 1% Fire Rate up to a maximum of 60%. When reloading this bonus will be reset.
  • Duck Magazine: Kills with the weapon fill up 20% of the magazine and grant a boost for 10 seconds. While strengthening is active, each successful shot increases the magazine’s capacity by 1 to a maximum of 60. A kill consumes the strengthening and replenishes the extended magazine completely.
  • Chattermouth: As long as it is in the holster, reloading the weapon grants a 20% rate of fire for 10 seconds within 5 seconds of a kill.

How can you find the weapon? You can either get the submachine gun by dropping it or making it yourself. So you come to the Gadwall.

Merciless and ruthless

These are the stats of the rifle:

  • Optimal range (meters): 50
  • Long-range range (meters): 80
  • Minimum crit distance (meters): 10
  • Maximum crit distance (meters): 60
  • SPM (shot per minute): 260
  • Magazine size: 30
  • Reload speed (seconds): 2.2
  • Possible damage (GS 500): 17577 – 21482

These are the talents:

  • Binary Trigger:  The weapon fires one bullet each time you press the Shot button and release it. So the Merciles has a special shooting mechanic that lets you fire bullets pretty fast.
  • Guerilla Warfare:  If you press the Shoot button, a “primer ball” will fire and it will get stuck in the target. When you release the Shoot button, the second ball is a “detonator bullet” that causes all the primer balls in the target to explode.
  • Brutality: Each shot has a 5% chance to inflict + 20% damage as an explosive damage – and only when Merciless is supported

How can you find the weapon? Merciless is only available as a drop from certain opponents. So you come to the merciless rifle.

ruthless

As with Sweet Dreams and Weighing Song, the Ruthless Rifle is part of an edition or pre-order package. It has the same stats that Talent Guerilla Warfare is missing.

For now, these were all exotics that exist in The Division 2. If new ones are added, we will update the list.
