Avengers: Endgame Hits Rotten Tomatoes

At 00:01 on April 24th the embargo linked to the Avengers reviews has officially expired: Endgame, an event film released today in Italy. Already announced as a success, Rotten Tomatoes seems to confirm it: its value (at least at the beginning), based on an average obtained from reviews in the press and not, is 98% (of positive reviews out of a total of 85).

At the moment, with 151 reviews in the assets, the percentage has dropped by only one point, reaching 97% , a very high value for the site. This value was achieved in 2018 only by Black Panther, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, BlacKkKlansman and Spider-Man: A New Universe.

But what is the Tomatometro ? Well, the Rotten Tomatoes site is not based on average ratings (like Metacritic ), but simply on the positive or negative outcome. That value will then define if the film (or TV series) reaches a positive vote, or if (under 60%) instead it deserves a tomato toss (as it did in theaters long ago).

The serious series of events put in place by Thanos, which has swept away half of the universe and broken the ranks of the Avengers, forces the surviving Avengers to take a last initiative, in the great conclusion of the 22 Marvel Studios films, Avengers: Endgame .

In the cast we will find Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye / Ronin), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) and Josh Brolin (Thanos). Also present were Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Paul Bettany (Vision), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) , Tom Hiddlestone (Loki), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Evangeline Lilly (Wasp), Letitia Wright (Shuri) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury).
