3DS: Nintendo Has No Exclusive Game Planned For The Portable Console, A Slight Point On Sales

After more than 8 years of faithful service, the end is slowly, but surely.

While the Switch continues its ascent, the 3DS slowly draws its bow, with a schedule of exclusivities rickety. Nintendo had yet assured “prepare new games for 2019 and beyond” in its financial report in late April 2018, but a year later, the finding is quite different, the last first-party exclusivity appeared  Kirby: Over the great adventure  and only Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth yet to appear as a third-party publisher game.

As reported by our colleagues from Kotaku, who asked the principal concerned what it was, we should not expect much:

We have nothing new to announce about first-party games for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. We can confirm that new titles are on the way from third-party publishers.

Incidentally , the number of consoles sold at March 31, 2019 amounted to 75.08 million , while no less than 378.12 million games were sold , a not very obvious evolution since the previous balance sheet . Moreover, the ranking of the best-selling games has not changed at all, as sales figures have increased slightly over time.

In short, it will soon be time to say goodbye to the range of 3DS consoles, and the possible arrival of low cost model of Switch will undoubtedly put an end to the previous generation. It remains to be seen when it will be unveiled, but it will not be during the E3 2019.
