In a recent interview with the Spanish journalist AreaJugone, CD Projekt Red Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz’s Quest Designer talked about Cyberpunk 2077 and how the game was different from the demo presented in 2018; citing also some names of video games of which their new IP is inspired.
In the second part of the interview, recently published on the same channels as the Spanish site, Tomaszkiewicz talks about the future of Cyberpunk 2077 , focusing on the differences that the game has compared to one of their previous top titles, namely The Witcher III. “In Cyberpunk 2077 we will find some game elements that have appeared in some of our previous games. For example, multiple-choice dialogues, with actions that will give way to consequences ”.
“One of the novelties that will be possible to find in the game, will be to approach the missions in a non-linear way,” says Tomaszkiewicz, thus leaving ample room for the player who can freely decide which approach to take during the execution of the missions , with the possibility of bringing them in various ways; even the created character will have an important impact on the game as well as the objects used. “I think this is the fundamental difference compared to The Witcher, that is, not following a predefined path of history.”
“The game is currently still under development and, at the time of its release, we want it to be perfect in all its facets. The demo we showed you last year was only a small portion of the game. Currently there are many things that we haven’t talked about yet and are working on. The game will be very different from the one seen previously, ” concludes Tomaszkiewicz .
In short, the idea of the game is as ambitious as it is complex, but we will soon have a chance to see the title in action. In fact, as also confirmed by the top management of CD Projekt RED we will find out more about Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 this year, which will be held in June.
