A Documentary About Michael Schumacher At The Cinema In December

Six years after his serious skiing accident, Michael Schumacher’s family presents a documentary about the Formula One star.

The film, filmed with unpublished archives and statements by his father, his wife and his children, will be released on December 5th.

It is an official cinematographic documentary entitled “Schumacher” and authorized by the family of the pilot residing in Gland, in the canton of Vaud, stresses in the night from Saturday to Sunday their spokesperson Sabine Kehm.

The film also gives voice to key personalities and other companions of the legend of Formula 1. It portrays the ups and downs of the career of “Schumi” and offers a glimpse of his private life.

Two Birthdays

The wire is coming out this year on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the great German champion as well as the 25th anniversary of his first victory in the World Cup (1994).

It was directed by filmmakers Michael Wech and Hanns-Bruno Kammertöns. Together, the two Germans have already shot documentaries about multimillionaire businessman Gunter Sachs, singer Udo Jürgens and tennis player Boris Becker.

Michael Schumacher, born in Hürth, Germany, is the most successful Formula 1 driver of all time with 91 Grand Prix victories. The mechanic by training won seven world championship titles between 1994 and 2004, including five in a row. 

One year after retiring from competition in 2012, he suffered a skiing accident in Meribel, France. Since then, he suffers from severe cranial lesions. No details have filtered about his exact state of health.
