The Last of Us: Part 2 is the long-awaited new game of Naughty Dog and the anxiety surrounding its arrival is immense, which makes it even more desperate to wait for the arrival of the game – which has yet to date official release received.
Revealed in December 2016, The Last of Us: Part 2 is still without a release forecast, but several rumors and clues have pointed to its arrival in 2019, something that is again made in the latest rumor.
In October 2017, Gustavo Santaolalla, composer of the soundtrack, said that his work would be ready in 2019 and in April 2019, a store in Peru informed his customers that the game would arrive in October of this year. Sony did not comment on this news but also helped reinforce the idea that the game could arrive earlier than expected.
In early April of this year, Sony listed The Last of Us: Part 2 for the brief and the middle of May, Anthony Newman, co-director in the game, suggested that development was nearing the end.
Now, after Kojima Productions has confirmed a new trailer for Death Stranding for May 29, a new rumor comes out that indicates the same for The Last of Us: Part 2.
According to Gamereactor from Spain, sources at Sony have confirmed that The Last of Us: Part 2 will be entitled to new trailer later this week and that Sony feels comfortable enough to reveal the release date – October 2019.
On several occasions, The Last of Us: Part 2 was set for 2019, many of them for October, and we now have another echo of that possibility.
Sony has not officially revealed the arrival of a new trailer but may be preparing a new State of Play pre-E3.
