French Dotemu has confirmed that she is collaborating with Square Enix in Final Fantasy 8 Remastered.
The company responsible for Windjammers 2 and which is supporting Streets of Rage 4, is known for converting classics to newer platforms and its latest project is this Remaster.
The landmark JRPG originally released on PSone in 1999, is being updated with graphical improvements and other refinements, which Dotemu does not reveal for now, but ensures there are.
The company also confirmed that this Final Fantasy 8 Remastered will use the songs presented in the original version of the game and not in the Steam version, promising to reveal more soon.
Final Fantasy 8 Remastered is scheduled for 2019 on Xbox One, Switch, PC and PS4.
