After the acquisition of Fox by Walt Disney Pictures there is a lot of talk about a potential cinematic reboot of the Fantastic Four, already rumored for 2022.
Waiting to find out more, cartoonist Dan Slott, who worked on the comic pages of the Fantastic Four, from the top of his Twitter, exposed his thoughts (and advice) regarding the casting of Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch in a future film reboot by Marvel Studios / Twentieth Century Fox.
According to Slott, in fact, a perfect actor for the part of the young member of the Marvel comics quartet would be the actor DJ Kapa ( Riverdale ). Of course, the fans split in two to the words of the cartoonist: on the one hand, those who appreciate and share this choice, those who, on the other hand, is opposed to what was said by Slott. What do you think about it?
Johnny Storm has been played, in the last almost fifteen years before by Chris Evans in the first two Fox films directed by Tim Story and then by Michael B. Jordan in the reboot-flop of Josh Trank, who would like to remove the film from the face from the earth. Ironically, both Evans and Jordan later joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the first was the face of Captain America for years, the second played the acclaimed Black villain Panther.
Throwing out this red meat and then logging off of Twitter.
