Schofield was vice president and general manager of Visceral Games and later founded Sledgehammer Games, being an important figure in Dead Space and some of the Call of Duty series.

Striking Distance is located in San Ramon, California, United States of America, and is part of PUBG Corp., which will be responsible for launching its games in the market.
Schofield left Sledgehammer Games in 2018, along with Michael Condrey, the two founders of the studio, to occupy positions in the executive boards of Activision, but recently left the company.
