Battle Royale Mode of Modern Warfare Could Be Free According to Some Leaks

Youtuber TheGamingRevolution said that not only will  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has its own Battle Royale mode, it will also be free.

In a video posted on his channel, TheGamingRevolution made bold statements about the so-called Battle Royale mode and said the map would include locations from classic Modern Warfare maps such as Shipyard, Rust and Wetwork.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the video was when TGR explained how players could get their hands on this mode, claiming it would be free.

TGR says that, according to Victor, another leak manager on MW, Raven Software is working on a free game mode. TheGamingRevolution claiming he was informed that he was working on the Battle Royale of the game.

While this sounds logical, YouTubers claim it’s not that simple, since the game’s Spec Ops feature is also set to use the card, so it’s possible that it’s more like the free game mode.

TGR seems to believe that the Battle Royale mode is more likely, but says he would be “happy anyway”, although this is, of course, an unconfirmed leak that has not been verified by the developers.

Infinity Ward making his Battle Royale free would play an important role in its success, and would correspond to a number of other games such as Fortnite and Apex Legends, which are available for download without purchase.

This would also correspond to a number of previous reports that Activision and Infinity Ward intended to leave part of the game free to attract new customers who might be encouraged to buy the full game based on their experiences. It remains to be seen if this is true, but we will probably have to wait for the multiplayer revelation of Modern Warfare, scheduled for August 1, to find out more.
