Several rumors continue to circulate about the Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and now the attention has focused on someone that many fans, especially on the small screen, have appreciated for some time. For the moment it is only a rumor but it would seem that a Breaking Bad star is about to enter the MCU.
According to the MCU fan-site Cosmic, Giancarlo Esposito could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe interpreting the character of a benefactor.
The interpreter of Gus Fring seems to have the perfect age for the role, towards which Marvel seems to be looking for an actor similar to Esposito to play in the role of ‘a mysterious and nefarious benefactor’.
The site continues by assuming the choice of Giancarlo Esposito for Norman Osborn, which would mean another important agreement with Sony Pictures, which currently holds the rights of the evil Spider-Man character.
Osborn becomes the Green Goblin but it also turned out to be a thorn in the side of the entire Marvel universe in Dark Reign; Osborn took control of US national security after saving the world in Secret Invasion.
The character was finally defeated in the Siege crossover and could be an interesting resource for Phase 4 of the MCU.
Obviously, there is also the possibility that Giancarlo Esposito is in negotiations to play another character of the franchise.
The actor talked about his role in The Mandalorian and a few days ago it was revealed that he will be given more space in The Boys, regarding the episodes of the second season.
