Be it a comedy or a drama, refine it by a British lady

The fact that we made this British-language TV recommendation a day after the British Parliamentary elections is just a coincidence.

This December, the 85th birthday is celebrated by respected British actresses, ladies Judi Dench and Maggie Smith. On this occasion, we searched for their films on the small screens and included the contents of three other actresses who boast this knighthood.

The Judi Dench and Maggie Smith ladies have more than 200 movie and television roles and a number of theaters together, and they are dating the same month – Dench’s 85 birthday candles were blown on December 9, and Smith’s did so on December 28th.

The actresses are also deserving of Oscar recipients. Smith received two for the lead role in the drama The Cast of Mrs. Jean Brodie (1969) and for the supporting role in the romantic comedy Hotel California (1978), while Dencheva received her first and, for now, the only sculpture for a short supporting role in the historical romantic-comic drama In Love with Shakespeare (1998).

Although we haven’t tracked these titles on small screens, we’ve found some of their other films, including one in common. This is what we present at the beginning.
