During the night, Sony Pictures Entertainment released a first official clip extracted from The Grudge, the new American reboot of the famous Japanese horror saga.
You can enjoy it comfortably in the article, with the character John Cho grappling with disturbing demonic apparitions that are particularly aggressive.
The Grudge will tell the story of a cursed house haunted by a vengeful ghost that condemns those who enter the building to a violent death. The film is a reboot of the 2004 film The Grudge, which in turn was an American remake of the Japanese film Ju-On, released in 2002. Both films were directed by director Takashi Shimizu.
This new version of the story, which will boast a rated-r rating, was produced by Sam Raimi, already behind the first two episodes of the American saga. The film was co-written by Nicolas Pesce and Jeff Buhler, while Nathan Kahane and Erin Westerman are executive producers for the Good Universe alongside Schuyler Weiss, Roy Lee and Doug Davison.
In the cast Andrea Riseborough, Demián Bichir, John Cho, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye, and Jacki Weaver. The release date is set for January 3, 2020, in the United States, while to see it in Italy we will have to wait for the next February 27.
It will be the tenth film in total in the saga, counting the three previous original remakes and the Japanese crossover with the franchise of The Ring.
