According to the newspaper El Nuevo Día, Netflix has just bought the rights to the documentary ‘Mucho, Mucho Amor’ on the famous and deceased Puerto Rican astrologer Walter Mercado, who died on November 2.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the documentary is based on the life and career of Mercado.
The film, produced by Alex Fumero, Kareem Tabsh and Cristina Constantini, features interviews with Lin Manuel Miranda, Eugenio Derbez, Raúl de Molina and Mercado himself.
The documentary is directed by Tabsh and Constantini and will debut at the Sundance festival on January 24.
The astrologer died on November 2 at the Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in San Juan due to kidney problems.
The newspaper recalls that last year, Walter Mercado traveled several times to Miami to participate in interviews for the documentary and for the recognition ‘Much, Much Love: 50 years of Walter Mercado’.
It is not known when the project will reach the platform.
