The popularity of Jason Momoa appeared in Game of Thrones, playing Khal Drogo, the HBO series is becoming one of the most important events in the popular culture of the last decade, but the actor has said that his involvement in the Dune sand decreases the range of the series.
The actor is no stranger to adventure on a grand scale, having starred in both Aquaman and the Justice League, but the star has revealed that none of the previous works, the upcoming adaptation of Dune and the director, Denis Villeneuve.
“We had to shoot in the Wadi Rum. I’ve never seen anything like it, it was like shooting on another planet,” he shared Momoa in a video interview on the Ellen Show.
“Denis Villeneuve is a director, and he made the Sicario: a No man’s Land and The property. It was an honor to do it, and it’s a list of pretty stellar, I’ve never had a part of something so big.”
Jason Momoa also mentioned the details of his character, a rogue, Duncan Idaho.
“I perceive the character of Duncan Idaho, who is a sort of master swordsman who serves as the right-hand man of the Duke Leto, who is Oscar Isaac,” said the actor.
“He is the first person to be sent to land on Duna and when I do, I know the character of Javier Bardem is interpreted. I can’t believe that I was in a scene with Javier Bardem! It is a film major, and I perceive a character like Han Solo. He’s a warrior, rogue, which protects Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides), and serves as the Oscar to Isaac.”
The dune will arrive in theaters on December 18.
