The president of the sports betting site PronoClub, the target of several hundred complaints including one from the National Gaming Authority (ANJ), was indicted Friday (September 17th) for “fraud committed by an organized gang”, the prosecution said. from Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine).
The sole partner and president of this company, Thomas Boursin, 24 years old and living in Brittany, was arrested in Rennes (Ile-et-Vilaine) on Wednesday and placed in police custody. “Large sums were seized from his bank accounts and searches led to the finding of nearly 12,000 euros in cash”, specifies the prosecution in a press release.
Presented Friday to an investigating judge of the economic and financial pole of Nanterre, Thomas Boursin was indicted on charges of “fraud committed by an organized gang, aggravated money laundering, deceptive commercial practices and snowball sales”.
PronoClub, a social network connecting bettors and sports forecasters, headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine), is suspected of having defrauded several hundred users. Dozens of complaints, dating back to November 2020, have been entrusted to the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of the Populations (DDPP) and to the central racing and games service.
